Job Description
SAM Prime Tooling & Licensing Expert is a domain specialist who is responsible for successful execution of SAM core deliverables to one or more clients

1. Overarching governance on License Compliance: Manage the delivery of multiple software license compliance reviews and generate Effective License Positions (ELPs) to agreed timeframes and budgets.
2. Facilitate collaboration with procurement teams to negotiate and acquire software licenses at the most favorable terms and pricing.
4. Overarching governance on Inventory Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of software licenses, tracking usage, expiration dates, and renewal requirements.
5. Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce software licensing costs while maintaining required functionality.
6. Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with software vendors, staying informed about updates, changes in licensing models, and future licensing trends.
7. Policy Development: Develop and implement software licensing policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
8. Audits and Reporting: Conduct regular software license audits, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for optimization.
9. Training and Education: Educate internal teams on software licensing compliance and best practices.

Required skills:
Experience of managing small to medium teams
Experienced on implementing Software Asset Management policies & Procedures.
Design service catalogs for Software request management and lifecycle.
Competent on upto 4 tier 1 publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMware, SAP) & any 3 Tier 2 publishers (Salesforce, Adobe, Quest, Autodesk, Microfocus, Citrix,Veritas, Informatica )
Expert functional and technical knowledge of Service Now SAM Pro / Flexera / SNOW SLM
Indepth knowledge of publisher contracts and use rights.
Technically strong in creating Out of the box and custom reports and dashboards.
Expert in conducting SAM maturity assessments and independently provide recommendations and remediations as a Sr. consultant.

Certification: Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
