Glencore Copper is seeking for a Permitting Planner to support the project planning function regarding all permitting effort across MARA and PACHON projects in support to the Project Controls Manager following guidelines from the Regional Planning Manager.
This role is responsible for contributing to weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to inform project leadership team with the status of the project.
The role is accountable for prepare and coordinate planning presentations to project senior management team as required.
The role will ensure the procedures and standards provided by the PMO will be thoroughly followed.
Location: Hybrid mode - based in San Juan or Tucuman with FIFO to various project locations on demand.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Responsible for developing (baseline) and maintain (actual/forecast) the permitting schedule for the current stage (Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility) including all the required steps to reach the EIA submission included but not limited to: Engineering for Permits, Tender of Consultants, Studies and Services, Execution of Contract Packages.
- Responsible for developing (baseline) and maintain (actual/forecast) the permitting schedule for the Execution Stage as a part of the Project Master Schedule (PMS) within the P6 Cloud environment, ensuring all permits within the Permit Matrix are included at any time (Scope).
- Ensure the proper logic is well set-up within activities among any of the schedules in charge.
- Provide list of Milestones and update these in a monthly basis with a weekly follow-up.
- Identify critical actions that must be performed by the project team to meet Project Baseline and/or mitigate current delays.
About the profile: Your training, skills & expertise checklist
- Tertiary Qualifications – Engineering, Construction management, Project management and/or related disciplines.
- Certification from AACE, PRINCE II and/or PMI, or other related project management certification is favourable.
- 5 years’ experience in planning roles within the resource or petrochemical industry; experience within construction companies will be a plus.
- Proven experience with greenfield projects across entire project lifecycle, from detailed engineering through commissioning, setting up project baselines and implementing updating and forecasting work cycles.
- Proven experience setting up progress reporting systems for the various project phases: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, commissioning.
- Extensive on hands experience using Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of earned value techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to summarize large amount of data in order to convey specific messages to different stakeholders.
- Ability to tie-in and consolidate with full logic multiple third-party schedules from consultants and contractors into the project master schedule for progress reporting and forecasting purposes.
- Proven experience developing, leading, and motivating teams.
