The Language Doctors, Inc. is a leading provider of high-quality language services, specializing in medical and life sciences content. We are committed to excellence and seek passionate individuals to join our full-time remote team as a German Quality Transcription Reviewer.

Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced German Quality Transcription Reviewer to ensure the accuracy and consistency of our written transcriptions. The role focuses on medical and life sciences content, requiring a deep understanding of quality management principles and medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities

Review transcribed German MS Word files to ensure the highest standards of text accuracy
Identify and correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and style errors
Adhere to the source document format to maintain alignment with formatting standards
Ability to rewrite blurred text which is garbled during OCR conversion
Help in transcribing handwritten text
Maintain detailed records of quality reviews and share insights with stakeholders
Identify areas for improvement and propose effective solutions to enhance the quality
Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new developments
Work closely with team members to address challenges and implement process improvements

Qualifications

German Abitur or General School leaving diploma (Realschulabschluss + Ausbildung)
Experience in reading German medical handwriting (medical secretarial experience or an education in any medical field is ideal but not required).
Native-level proficiency in German and strong command of both written and verbal English.
Proficiency in Office 365; familiarity with SDL Trados.
Prior experience in the medical and life sciences fields is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and time management skills
