Prepares financial analysis and reporting of anticipated and actual financial results for a business, function, region, or location. Provides support for the development and implementation of business plans through budgeting, forecasting, modeling and analysis of company financial information. Prepares capital financial analysis to support investment decisions as well as assist in capital reporting and monitoring. Communicates proactively with other departments to achieve organizational objectives. Responsible for obtaining information necessary to prepare and review assigned tax returns in the Federal, state and international areas. Prepares and submits domestic and foreign tax returns and serves as focal point in audits.
Responsabilidades de Trabajo:
- Generates monthly management reports and design report formats for management reporting.
- Provides information to respond to ad-hoc business requests.
- Updates quarterly scorecards and business/function CIP status. Track business metrics and performance.
- Gathers and interprets estimated and actual monthly results for the business, function, region, or location. Creates comparative profitability studies and analyses.
- Tracks business performance metrics that can be incorporated into reports summarizing target and actual financial performance outcomes. Prepares special analyses, such as those related to manufacturing, costing, and overheads. Participates in the implementation of new reporting systems.
- Analyzes business performance metrics and make recommendations for improvement opportunities, where appropriate. Assists in reviewing cash flow statements and forecasts with management.
- Participates in implementation of new reporting systems.
- Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care® Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001® technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
- Assist the Manager of Tax Administration in researching and developing favorable audit positions and negotiation strategies in response to inquiries by Federal tax auditors.
- Acts as focal point in Federal and state tax audits. Identify audit strategies, meet with auditors, prepare responses to information requests, and write protests as required.
- Prepare and review annual Federal, state, and partnership tax filings, state extensions and estimated tax payments. Prepare and review other major portions of domestic compliance effort as necessary.
- Prepare and review international tax filings, U.S. reporting, and foreign partnership returns.
- Assist in tax rate module and analyze year end deferred tax provision.
- Prepare and review annual vesting examples and tax narratives for the Long Term Incentive Plan (including coordination of international review by outside consultants).
- Provide tax guidance and recommendations in response to requests from various business and functional leaders within the Company. Respond to tax questions with requisite research and legal documentation.
Requirimientos:
- Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting
- Knowledge of financial modeling through spreadsheet analysis
- Knowledge of Cabot’s reporting systems
- Accuracy/Attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage and develop budgets
- Ability to gather, analyze and draw well-reasoned conclusions•
- Ability to analyze and manage business plans•
- Ability and knowledge in financial reporting
- PC skills (MS Office, Lotus Notes, MS Project, etc)
- University degree in Finance or Accounting. Post-graduate degree/ specialization preferred.
- Minimum five years experience in a manufacturing or industrial organization.
