Working in the Data Division
Our team is responsible for the distribution of all data products generated by Open Cosmos and its partners. To do so, we develop Data Cosmos, an online geospatial data platform. The platform includes a marketplace of satellite images, functionality to request new images from the satellites, and integrations with partner applications to extract detailed insights.
What will you be doing?
As a Test Engineer, you’ll take the lead in defining testing strategies alongside the project manager to ensure the highest quality of our client-server platform. You will design and execute dynamic test cases—both automated and manual—covering the UI and APIs, while also validating user and admin manuals to ensure accuracy. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in testing processes, lead cross-functional collaborations, and strategically plan the testing roadmap. Your ability to lead, manage resources, and foster a culture of quality will be key to the success of innovative software solutions.

Should Haves
- Understand how to design repetitive and reliable test and decide whether they should be manual or automated
- Ability to define the test strategy (end to end, integration, smoke, regression, exploratory, etc) to be used for each application delivery
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, promoting best practices in testing, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
- Experience in strategically planning testing roadmaps and managing resources to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries, while promoting a culture of accountability and excellence across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to execute manual tests, ensuring correct system behaviour for all user personas
- Ability to develop automated tests for both frontend UIs and backend APIs using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Vitest, Testing Library, Robot Framework, or Postman
- Ability to validate user documentation (manuals written for different user types) from the point of view of the user, and detect defects, omissions, and possible improvements to increase clarity.
