Kumba Iron Ore
We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects – exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.

Job Description
-As a Disposal Operator , you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include:

Receiving and Binning of received goods from Otraco
Stock taking on a monthly base of tyres.
Issuing of stock to end users on time
Delivery/issuing documents and ensure all documents are forwarded to the Scanning Clerk for scanning into the SAP system
Conduct pre-shift inspection on all self-propelled equipment on a daily basis
Escalating of hazardous waste (Oilkol)
Assisting the Supervisor with tasks over and above the normal duties when requested
Apply the Fifo system on tyres
Ensure all tyres are accurately marked with Material number, Serial number and date of receiving
Loading and offloading tyres.
Escort Service Provider to Otraco for onside delivery
Supervise of equipment e.g. Tyres (CTR)
Escort Service Providers to the Hygiene Environment where they need to collect old tyres that were sold.
Redundant & Scrap item (B302) per Supply Chain policy.
Assist new temporary Service Providers by driving them around; ensure permits are in place, IRA’s done etc.
Adhering to all safety and health standards and promote good housekeeping on an ongoing basis.

This role is in Supply Chain at a Band level P5 reporting to the Supervisor Receiving and Disposal.

Qualifications

-Grade 12/N3
SAP experience
Computer literate
Programme in Purchasing & Supply Chain will be advantageous
Tyre Hander, Forklift and Overhead Crane Licence will be advantageous
Valid Driver’s Licence

Experience:

General administration or reception experience will be beneficial or any other applicable experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a support function.
