Job Description

This is a great opportunity to leverage from your extensive operational experience in project and operational support service delivery, to lead an experienced and highly skilled team in delivery of improvement initiatives that improve safety and maximize value for the business, whilst ensuring critical non-process infrastructure is maintained and operated efficiently and effectively to support Didipio operations.

• Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team of professionals engaged with non-process infrastructure projects and operational support service delivery functions including:
  • Delivery of site-based infrastructure and civil projects.
  • Delivery of community infrastructure projects
  • Execution of tailings facility lifts
  • Camp management including catering and camp maintenance service contractors,
  • Travel and Logistics for rostered staff and visitors.
  • Maintenance of buildings, infrastructure and grounds within the Didipio footprint
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the Business Services team, including achieving performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Actively work with the management team and contribute to overall organizational development and implementation of strategies, priorities and schedules.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the General Manager - Operations Philippines and other internal and external parties.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in mining engineering, Project Management or relevant discipline
• 15-20 years experience in non-process infrastructure projects roles
• Behaviour consistent with Oceana Gold Corp. Values and the Oceana Gold Way
• Sound technical and operational understanding of capital projects and the impact of the project delivery on value chain outcomes.
• Demonstrated successful relationship and stakeholder engagement skills as well as the ability to lead operational teams to execute challenging projects autonomously.
• Well-developed technical writing and presentation skills.
• In-depth understanding of engineering processes and a track record of generating practical and innovative solutions.
• High levels of enthusiasm for the work with high-performance goals for self and team
• Strong Commercial acumen
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively within culturally diverse workforce setting.
