Responsible in performing reinsurance services functions including processing of technical accounts, reinsurance collections, premiums and adjustments. Debtors and creditors management to optimize cash flows of the company
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with QBE policies. Procedures and relevant legislations
May contribute to the refinement of process procedures and systems for continuous improvement
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, specifically divisions, brokers, underwriting and other internal support teams
Enter RI policies on company’s reinsurance system and ensure all premiums are paid to reinsurers
Process collections in the system and prepare advises for send out to Reinsurers
Settlement of RI premiums for Equator Re, NICO and other external reinsurers
Raise LORS entries for settlement of claims and premiums and perform clean ups as necessary
Coordinate with divisions/brokers or other internal functional units to reconcile data or account balances inquiries
Review and identify existing claims for any possible RI recoveries
Review contracts quarterly/annually and calculate provisions for policies that are subject to profit commissions, no claims bonus and premium adjustments
Prepare Monthly account balances and reconciliation for NICO
Prepare Group Reinsurance reports for Group Aggregate Risk, Group/Division Large Risk and Catastrophe Reports, and perform reconciliations as necessary
Prepare Returns for Terrorism Covers, ensure completeness of all policies with reconciled premiums for payment
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

At least 1 year experience, preferably in a shared service environment
