  • Recording a company’s daily financial transactions.
  • Reviewing financial data for accuracy.
  • Balancing a company’s income and expenses.
  • Filing and submitting government and tax forms.
  • Computing payroll.
  • Creating systems to improve recording of data.
  • Preparing financial reports and data analysis.
  • Complete a bachelor degree in any related field such as accounting or business administration.
  • 2.Volunteer as a treasurer or finance officer in a school organization or charity function to learn the ropes of the job.
  • 3.Undertake an internship in the accountancy department at a recognized company.
  • 5.Master bookkeeping software such as Active One, and consider getting a software certification.
  • 6.Consider postgraduate studies in accountancy for progressing to higher positions such as Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager.
