Batching Plant Operator
Job Summary: The Batching Plant Operator is responsible for operating and managing the batching process for ready-mix concrete production. This role involves monitoring equipment, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards while producing high-quality concrete products to meet customer specifications.

- Operate and monitor concrete batching equipment to ensure efficient production processes.
- Set up and calibrate batching systems according to project specifications and production schedules.
- Load and unload raw materials, including aggregates, cement, and additives, in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on batching equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished concrete to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records, including batch tickets and inventory logs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of products.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in training new employees on batching procedures and safety practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in concrete technology is a plus.
- Previous experience as a batching plant operator or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing processes and familiarity with batching systems.
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license; forklift certification is a plus.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
