Job Description
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated, motivated and innovative registered health professional to provide clinical oversight and coordinate our passionate teams of support workers to enable them to support people who are experiencing co-existing intellectual disability and mental health issues.
The main responsibilities include making clinical recommendations, risk and behaviour management, allocating daily staffing resources, staff supervision and performance management. You will also coordinate care and treatment plans with secondary services and other external stakeholders. Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential. Training of support staff to increase their knowledge is also an integral part of the role.
The successful candidate will be passionate about providing a meaningful and supportive environment for people in residential services to assist in gaining social, health, whanau, community and cultural reconnection.

  • Registered Health Professional with a current practicing certificate
  • Proven experience in mental health and intellectual disability support
  • Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills
  • Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the healthcare sector
  • Experience in staff supervision and training
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
