Galetech Group is a specialist renewable energy development and services group that develops renewable energy projects and provides planning, environmental and advisory support to our clients on a wide range of wind and renewable energy projects. We are Irish owned, and our team includes over 130 people. We are market leading specialists in the development of renewable energy projects in Ireland, Africa, Australia and across Europe.

To date we have delivered over 500MW of wind capacity, and we currently have over 600MW of onshore, 2GW of offshore in addition to 300MW of energy storage in our development pipeline.

We are looking for a QUALITY , HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER to join our ever-growing team. This role can be based in Cavan or Tralee.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Foster, develop and encourage a strong safety culture across the organisation and engage proactively through existing mechanisms.
Develop our ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified HSE management systems to ensure continued certification and compliance with legislation, regulations, and safe systems of work.
Oversee HSE audit programs and inspections, report on assurance ratings and manage close out of corrective actions.
Maintain thorough incident, accident and emergency response plans and ensure that they are tested, communicated and adhered to across the Group.
KPI tracking and benchmarking against best industry practices.
Key relationship/stakeholder manager and primary contact with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) / Health Service Executive (HSE) in the event of communications, site visits and/or accident investigation.
Implement and maintain Health and Safety strategies, policies, processes, procedures, guidelines to ensure compliance with legal and other requirements.
Wind Turbine Safety Rules Implementation
Onshore wind QHSE project delivery and project management
Support unit heads to ensure operational activities are undertaken in compliance with health and safety standards; Provide the management team with sufficient briefings on health & safety legislation and changes to legislation.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

3rd level qualification in Quality, Health & Safety
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations for the wind industry.
Confident and able to work on own initiative.
Delivery focused and committed to achieving project and Company goals.
Excellent communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Excellent negotiation skills
Good attention to detail
Previous experience of the wind industry would be an advantage.
Hold a full clean driving licence
