Student Ministry Pastor
Position: Student Pastor
Location: Changepoint Church, Alaska
Changepoint Church, is a vibrant multi-site community in Alaska, and is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Pastor. This position involves working with middle, high school, and college students, fostering spiritual growth, and creating a welcoming and engaging environment for our youth community.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Oversee all student ministries at Change Point, with the goal of advancing Change Point’s vision through its middle school and high school students. This entails cultivating leaders and implementing strategies aimed at evangelizing students and discipling them on their journey to follow Christ.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
v Strong and growing faith in Jesus Christ, a heart set on following Him, and a track record of upward personal trajectory.
v Must have a proven ability to effectively teach Biblical truth and inspire spiritual growth in students.
v Demonstrates a passion for discipleship and evangelism and the ability to cast vision to leaders and students for the same.
v Must be a self-starter, energetic, and highly motivated leader.
v Minimum of 5 years paid experience in student ministry, or 10 years unpaid. Preferably in a context similar to Change Point’s.
v Undergraduate or graduate degree in ministry preferred.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute an overall ministry strategy to make disciples of students in the Change Point family and to evangelize unsaved students in Anchorage. To include personally discipling students (and parents as primary faith-influencers) and leading others to do the same.
- Lead the planning and execution of top-quality weekly gatherings, mission trips, retreats and service opportunities for students. Including evaluation/selection/creation of curriculum and overseeing the teaching teams, guest speakers and other aspects of all Student Ministry activities.
- Lead and equip 4-5 Student Ministry staff (some FT and some PT). Work with other Change Point staff to recruit and hire open staff positions as required.
- Lead the recruiting, equipping, and discipling of a dynamic and effective team of 50-60 volunteers.
- Collaborate with the pastoral team (Department Leaders) to advance Change Point’s vision.
- Support Student Ministries at other Change Point campuses.
- Partner with churches and para-church ministries to bring the gospel to our schools.
