Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our team. Duties
Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals.
Manage materials management to ensure adequate inventory levels.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within the supply chain.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations in all purchasing activities.
Collaborate with quality management teams to maintain product standards.
Utilize systems for tracking orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
Assist in production planning by forecasting material needs based on production schedules.
Buy necessary materials and supplies while optimizing costs.
Skills
Strong knowledge of materials management principles.
Proficiency in supply chain management practices.
Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
Excellent contract negotiation skills to achieve the best outcomes for the company.
Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations is a plus.
Experience in quality management processes to ensure compliance and standards are met.
Strong negotiating skills with a focus on building long-term supplier relationships.
Proficient in using procurement systems and software for efficient operations.
Understanding of production planning processes to align purchasing with operational needs.
