Pet Groomer

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. This role involves working closely with pets and their owners to ensure a positive grooming experience, while also maintaining the highest standards of pet care.
Duties

Perform grooming services for various types of pets, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling fur.
Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ grooming needs and preferences.
Handle pets safely and compassionately during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, particularly with larger breeds or special needs animals.
Stay informed about grooming trends and techniques to provide the best service possible.

Requirements

Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance, dog handling, or pet care is preferred.
Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and address their concerns.
Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus, as it can enhance the grooming experience for both pets and owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.
Familiarity with equine care is beneficial but not mandatory.
A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential.
Certification in pet grooming or related fields is an advantage but not required.
