Overview
As Ministry Coordinator for Missional Life & Stewardship primary responsibilities will be empowering the Welcome & Caring, Outreach & Social Concerns, and Stewardship Committees through various administrative and ministry tasks, helping foster pathways to enrich Zion as a community of caring and belonging.
Responsibilities
Communicate with and support Welcome & Caring, Outreach & Social Concerns, and Stewardship teams. May need to attend team meetings as necessary.
Provide worship hospitality in support of fellowship opportunities and develop an environment of welcome and caring.
Provide office support after worship, attending to membership needs.
Assist in worship as part of pastoral staff team including giving announcements, sharing ministry talks, or serving as worship assistant.
Implement advocacy programs in cooperation with pastor and Out Reach and Social Concerns team.
Coordinate volunteers for ministry events such as fellowship and funerals.
Development and upkeep of ministry bulletin boards.
Support the production of congregational documents such as bulletins, ministry certificates, and documents for committee meetings.
Support the production and mailing of the newsletter, congregational letters, and thank you cards.
Participate in the maintenance of congregational/organizational database and records.
Answer phones, emails, and mail, disseminating information to lead pastor, staff, or ministry teams as appropriate.
Participate in the maintenance of church/office calendar in paper and electronic formats.
Operate office equipment and monitor maintenance requirements.
Order office and approved church supplies when needed within boundaries of budget.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to pass a background check. 3. Be familiar with and have interest in ELCA programs that will support ministry tasks. 4. Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other technology-based skills, such as church management software. 5. Willingness to learn and be trained in Lutheran Living (ELCA) Preferred Preference:
Experience working in a church;
Knowledge of Church management software.
An associates degree in related field.
