Maintenance Supervisor Meadville, PA Summary: Our client proudly designs, engineers, validates, and manufactures safety-critical components for their partners across automotive, commercial trucks, and industrial equipment. They have more than 100 years of experience producing premier ductile, gray, and specialty iron castings. They are looking to add a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor to their team. Their main responsibilities will be to Direct maintenance operations on 2nd shift by setting goals, organizing, and assigning work, selecting and developing employees, and maintaining a productive work environment to meet established production schedules. The 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor must have 3-5 years with leadership Experience 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:
Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member
Proficient with the use of Excel, Word, Power Point, and Access
Knowledge and use of Maintenance CMMS programs preferred
Ability to implement/manage preventive, predictive and reliability centered maintenance programs
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and able to read schematics for them
Experience with PLC’s, VFD’s, Motor Controls, high voltage systems and related safety concerns
Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment with a good mechanical and electrical aptitude
Able to evaluate multiple maintenance situations and direct maintenance employees for effective and standardized repairs
Direct, plan, and coordinate daily plant operations and foundry equipment maintenance on 2nd shift to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production
Ensure quality of repairs, diagnosis of equipment problems, and adequate supplies of materials and/or parts required to complete repairs, including preventive maintenance
Work closely with production control and manufacturing departments to schedule maintenance and/or repairs at appropriate times
Plan, organize, and assign work to maintenance employees to apply skill and experience to the best advantage which ensures efficient use of labor hours, materials, and equipment consistent with production and profit requirements
Maintain close observation over maintenance operations, providing guidance concerning proper maintenance methods. Understanding of the impact delay has on the production operation and the need to minimize delays; even when not related to maintenance
Evaluate work performance, counsel, and coach employees to maintain efficient work performance
Maintain conformance with Company policies, work rules, and regulations, coaching employees and/or initiating disciplinary actions, as required
Enforce the proper use of safety equipment and maintain departmental housekeeping to produce a safe work environment
Able to work overtime when needed
