First United Methodist Church in Kearney is looking for a visionary Children’s Ministry Director who can create an environment where kids from birth to grade 5 can experience transformative spiritual growth and meaningful relationships. What You'll Do:
Lead and Inspire

Create a Fun and Inviting Ministry: Oversee all aspects of First Kids Sunday programming, including lesson planning and volunteer scheduling.
Teach and Develop Curriculum: Select or craft lessons that captivate and educate.
Engage in Relationships: Build strong connections with children, parents, and volunteers that extend beyond Sundays.

Plan and Innovate

Special Events: Bring the community together with memorable events like Vacation Bible School, Trunk-or-Treat, and seasonal celebrations.
Safety First: Uphold safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all activities.

Build and Equip

Volunteer Powerhouse: Recruit, train, and empower volunteers to make an impact.
Parental Support: Equip parents with resources and guidance for their child's spiritual journey.
Grow the Ministry: Strategize for program expansion to meet evolving needs.

Network and Connect

Outreach: Develop strategies to reach unchurched families, creating entry points for deeper engagement.
Community Presence: Attend local events to support kids and connect with families.

What You Bring:

Dynamic Faith: A vibrant relationship with Jesus and a strong understanding of the Bible.
Compelling Communication: Ability to teach and inspire kids and adults alike.
Leadership Excellence: Proven experience leading teams and programs with creativity and dedication.
Preferred: Undergraduate degree or 3+ years in relevant experience.
