Construction Estimator/Project Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by accurately estimating costs and ensuring that projects remain within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, effective negotiation skills, and proficiency in various estimating software tools.
Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
Analyze blueprints and other project documents to determine project requirements and specifications.
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Utilize Heavy Bid and Bluebeam software for efficient project estimation and documentation.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for accurate cost assessments.
Monitor project budgets throughout the construction process to ensure cost control.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.

Experience

Proven experience in construction / Landscaping estimating or a related field is essential.
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
Familiarity with cost control measures and budgeting processes.
Proficiency in using estimating software such as Heavy Bid and Bluebeam is preferred.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing plans and specifications.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and negotiate contracts.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
