Guaranteed practicum fieldwork hours

RESPONSIBILITIES Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy under the supervision of a certified supervisor/BCBA to autistic children in Step One client service delivery locations - clinic, community, school, or home
Maintain 20 billable/restricted hours per week as part of practicum residency requirements
Perform unrestricted fieldwork under a BACB certified supervisor in accordance with the BACB practicum guidelines and milestones to prepare for BCBA role
If not already a RBT, gain RBT certification within 90 days with Company provided training and support; reimbursement for passed exam is provided
Deliver individualized, one-to-one, ABA therapy to clients in accordance with their treatment plan
Accurately document session notes and collect data throughout each session, ensuring timely completion
Obtain parent or caregiver signatures, in addition to your signature at the conclusion of each session to verify services rendered
Work collaboratively with a BCBA supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
Complete social skills and life skills training under the supervision of a BCBA
Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
Implement behavior plans and follow through with behavior management procedures under the supervision of a BCBA
Use behavior management techniques to help decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase the development of social skills, life skills, and adaptive behavior
Comfortable communicating with family or caregivers and supervisors
Attend Professional Development Trainings, as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field completed.
Enrolled in ABA Master’s Program if holding undergraduate degree or enrolled in ABA Post-Master’s Certificate Program if holding graduate degree in non-ABA discipline
RBT promotion path with pay increase and reimbursement of passed exam cost
Promotion pathway to BC-ABA/LBS and BCBA roles
Support with regular supervisions scheduled for Technicians

WORK ENVIRONMENT This role is performed in a variety of locations and may require travel; as such a driver’s license and insurance will be required. This role requires the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing – including frequent talking, hearing, writing, typing, reading, and significant comprehension. This role assists with working with young children that will regularly require moving quickly, crouching, and sitting on the floor. The employee frequently is also required to sit, stand, walk briskly, use hands, and reach with arms/hands. Regular and consistent attendance required.
