A construction administrative assistant provides clerical and technical support to construction professionals, such as project managers, contractors, and other construction management staff:
Administrative support Answer phones, schedule meetings, and provide comprehensive job reporting.
Financial documentation Prepare project budgets, change orders, invoice contractors and customers, and maintaining job checklist.
Communication Act as a point of contact for project managers, subcontractors, and other construction services teams
Document preparation Create lists, print documents, assemble manuals, prepare data sheets, and compile document packages
Forms Prepare forms such as change orders, purchase orders, service agreements, and subcontracts
Coordination Coordinate meeting logistics and deliverables, and make travel arrangements
Represent the company Represent the company and regularly interact with visitors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Some construction administrative assistant positions may require a technical background, experience in a technical environment, and strong computer application skills.
